Maggie Fergusson’s “GMB The Life” won Scottish First Book of the Year in 2006; Simon Hall’s “The History of Orkney Literature” was joint winner of the same title last year and Ron Ferguson’s “George Mackay Brown: The Wound and the Gift” is nominated for the upcoming Scottish Book of the Year.
